A steadfast companion that’s always there for you, a constant presence in your pocket. Whether you’re using it as a paperweight or as a silent listener when you need to talk, Rocky is there for you.
Rocky can be activated as a bonus action by speaking its name. Once activated, Rocky will animate and follow the owner's commands as best as it can.
Rocky can perform simple tasks such as scouting, distracting, or delivering messages. Rocky is loyal and affectionate to its owner, and will try to protect them from harm to the best of it's ability.

Mending Rocky

Rocky can be repaired with a spell or for those preferring a hands-on approach, a character proficient in Mason's tools and equipped with a set of Mason's tools could attempt repairs. This requires 10 minutes and the cost of materials (around 1 gp) along with a successful DC 13 Dexterity (Mason's tools) check. If Rocky is reduced to 0 hit points, it becomes inert and can't be activated again until the next dawn.

In the charming village of Kernan, nestled between the rolling hills and whispering forests, there lived a humble mason named Peter. Known for his skillful hands and kind heart, Peter spent his days shaping stone and his evenings sharing tales with the local children. One day, while working on a particularly stubborn piece of granite, Peter chanced upon a smooth, round pebble that seemed to hum with a gentle energy.

Curiosity piqued, Peter took the pebble home, where he spent the night painting a cheerful face upon its surface. As he spoke to the pebble, half in jest, he was astonished to see it stir to life, hovering in the air with a soft glow. Peter named his new companion Rocky, and together they embarked on many small adventures. Rocky would carry messages to the neighboring towns, play hide-and-seek with the children, and even help Peter in his workshop.
Word of the delightful pebble spread, and soon, travelers from far and wide came to witness the wonder. Peter, however, never saw Rocky as a spectacle but as a friend. He cared for Rocky, mending any chips or cracks with his mason’s tools, ensuring the pebble always looked its best.
As years passed, Peter grew old, but Rocky remained by his side, a constant companion. When Peter finally retired, he passed on his tools and workshop to his apprentice, but Rocky he kept close, a reminder of the magic found in everyday kindness. Together, they would sit by the fire, Peter sharing stories of his youth, and Rocky, in its own silent way, listening intently, forever a part of Peter’s extraordinary, yet wonderfully ordinary, life.
