This is a rare magic item that requires attunement by a monk. It consists of a pair of simple sandals that fit over the wearer's feet and enhance their speed and agility.

While wearing these sandals, you gain a +1 bonus to your AC and your Dexterity saving throws.

Swift Step

Once per day, you can use a bonus action to activate the sandals' swift step mode for 1 minute. While in swift step mode, you gain the following benefits:

Your speed increases by 20 feet.
You can use your reaction to move up to half your speed when an enemy ends its turn within 5 feet of you. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
You can move through the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

If you are attuned to both the Furious Knuckles of Unstoppable Strength and the Shoukai's Sandals of Swift Step, you gain the following benefits: If you are attuned to both the Furious Knuckles of Unstoppable Strength and the Shoukai's Sandals of Swift Step, you gain the following benefits:

You can use a bonus action to activate both items' special modes at the same time, instead of using separate bonus actions for each item. You still can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
While in both items' special modes, you can make one additional unarmed strike as part of your Attack action and deal an extra force damage on each hit. This is in addition to the benefits of each item.
You gain proficiency in the Insight and Intimidation skills. If you already have proficiency in these skills, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks made with them.

These sandals were crafted by a legendary monk named Shoukai, who was renowned for his mastery of stealth and evasion. He imbued his sandals with his own ki energy and used them to outwit and outrun anyone who pursued him. He was eventually challenged by a rival monk named Fushan, who used his own magic item: a pair of knuckles that granted him incredible strength and fury. Shoukai defeated Fushan by using his superior speed and agility to avoid his blows and strike at his weak points. Shoukai took Fushan's knuckles as a trophy and kept them in his monastery, where they remained for centuries until they were rediscovered by adventurers.
