Aboleth's Eye
gemstone, very rare (requires attunement)
This spherical gem is a dull gray color, but occasionally flashes with a red glow. It contains the essence of an aboleth's eye, and grants you some of its psionic abilities.

As an action, you can target one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The target must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you. The charmed target is under your control and you and the target can communicate telepathically with each other over any distance.Whenever the charmed target takes damage, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success. No more than once every 24 hours, the target can also repeat the saving throw when it is at least 1 mile away from you. The charm also ends if you are incapacitated or on a different plane of existence from the target, or if you die.
You can have only one creature charmed by this item at a time. If you use this action on another creature, the previous one is no longer charmed. If the target is hostile to you, it has advantage on the saving throw.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until the next dawn.
Curse
The gemstone has a hidden curse that is revealed when you attune to it. While cursed you are unable to end your attunement and unwilling to part with it. You also gain a flaw determined by the DM or by rolling the table below.d6 | Flaw |
