Basilisk Scale Mail

armor (scale mail), rare (requires attunement)

This armor is made from the scales of a basilisk, which are dark green and covered with spines. The scales are arranged in a pattern that resembles the basilisk's body, with a head-shaped helmet, a tail-like belt, and four pairs of legs on the chest and back. The armor is heavy and rigid, but also flexible enough to allow movement.

Enhanced Defence

The armor grants you a +1 bonus to AC.

Petrification

You can use an action to activate the armor's petrifying power. When you do so, choose one creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. The creature must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or begin to turn to stone and be restrained. The creature must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, the creature is petrified until freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until the next dawn.
