Darkness, Edge of Oblivion and Maw of the Void, Blade of Shadow and Death, Stealer of Lives and Light

weapon (greatsword), artifact (requires attunement)

Darkness, Edge of Oblivion and Maw of the Void, Blade of Shadow and Death, Stealer of Lives and Light is a fearsome weapon to behold. Its hilt is made from iron from the Shadowfell, and its blade is made from shadow. The blade itself seems to absorb light and cast a shadow around it, making it difficult to see in low light conditions. The sword's pommel is adorned with a black gemstone that seems to pulse with dark energy. The weapon exudes an aura of malevolence that can be felt by those nearby.

Shadow Blade

The blade of the sword is made from pure shadow making it much lighter than a normal greatsword. The weapon has the finesse property in addition to heavy and two-handed.

Nightfall

When you do so, a 30-foot-radius sphere of shadows emanates from the sword and moves with you, obscuring the area. Within the sphere, bright light becomes dim light, dim light becomes darkness, and darkness becomes magical darkness. You can see as if it was bright light inside the sphere.
While Nightfall is active, any creature other than you within the sphere has vulnerability to necrotic damage.
