Malice

wand, very rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

Malice is a sleek, black wand, adorned with silver runes that glow faintly in the presence of magic. It feels cold to the touch and seems to absorb light, making the air around it shimmer with a subtle darkness.

Spell Absorption

Once per day, when targeted by a spell of 4th level or lower that only targets you, you can use your reaction to absorb the spell into Malice. You are unaffected by the spell, and the absorbed spell can be cast as an action on your next turn, using your own spell save DC and spell attack bonus.

Aura of Fear

As an action, you can activate Malice to release a wave of terror. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute.

Curse of Agony

You can use Malice to cast Bestow Curse (necromancy)
Level: 3
Casting Time: 1 action
Concentration: Yes
Ritual: No

The target must succeed on a Wis. save or suffer an effect as a disadvantage to a check or lose an action (duration/lvl).

(without using a spell slot) once per long rest. When cast in this way, the curse takes on a more sinister nature, causing the target to feel intense pain, giving them disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws in addition to the spells other effects.

Cursed

Malice is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the wand, keeping it within reach at all times. You also have disadvantage on all saving throws against spells cast by fiends or undead.
