Vortex Jewel

gemstone, very rare (requires attunement)

This radiant gem swirls with chaotic energy, constantly shifting between shades of violet, yellow, and jade. The Vortex Jewel is imbued with the essence of the elemental planes, allowing the wearer to manipulate and harness elemental forces.

Elemental Affinity

While attuned to the Vortex Jewel, you gain resistance to one of the following damage types of your choice: fire, lightning, thunder, or cold. You can change this resistance during a short rest.

Elemental Vortex

As an action, you can activate the Vortex Jewel, creating a swirling vortex of elemental energy centered on yourself. Each creature within 15 feet of you must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes damage of a type you choose: fire, lightning, thunder, or cold. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage.
Once used, this feature can’t be used again until the next dawn.
