Wristband of Stored Might

wondrous item (bracers), rare (requires attunement)

This ornately carved pewter wristband, imbued with a faint magical hum, harness the user's own physical potential. The metal is surprisingly light despite its dense appearance.

Storing Strength

As a bonus action, you can activate the wristband and choose to decrease your Strength score by 4 for 1 day, or 2 for 1 week. If you maintain one of these reductions for its full duration, the wristband gains one charge. You can choose to end the strength reduction early (as another bonus action) but forfeit the stored potential and any remaining recharge time.

Releasing Strength

While wearing the wristband and having a stored charge, you can unleash it (no action required) to gain one of the following effects:
  • Gain a bonus to your Strength score of 2 for 1 hour.
  • Gain a bonus to your Strength score of 4 for 1 minute.
  • Gain a bonus to your Strength score of 6 until the start of your next turn.
