Lore

Grobnar was a hobgoblin warrior who lived in the ancient kingdom of Durok-tar. He was renowned for his incredible strength, agility, and endurance, which he attributed to his training and his prized possession: the Belt of the Athlete.
The Belt of the Athlete was a gift from the king of Durok-tar, who recognized Grobnar’s potential and wanted to reward him for his loyalty and bravery. The belt was crafted by the finest smiths and enchanters of the kingdom, using the finest leather and steel. The belt had a large steel buckle in the shape of a clenched fist, symbolizing the power and determination of Grobnar.
The belt enhanced Grobnar’s natural abilities, making him proficient in all kinds of athletic feats. He could run faster, jump higher, climb better, and swim longer than anyone else. He could also exert his will to gain an edge in any physical challenge, or to boost his strength to superhuman levels for a short time. He was also able to perform any athletic task with ease and reliability, never failing or faltering.
Grobnar used his belt and his skills to perform many great deeds, both in war and in peace. He fought against the enemies of Durok-tar, leading the army to many victories. He also participated in various competitions and tournaments, winning fame and glory. He was especially famous for his wrestling matches, where he defeated opponents of all sizes and races, including giants, ogres, and dragons.
Grobnar’s legend spread far and wide, and many people sought to challenge him or to acquire his belt. Some were honorable, others were not. Grobnar faced them all with courage and honor, never backing down from a challenge. He also never abused his power, always respecting his opponents and his belt.
Grobnar’s life ended in a tragic way, when he was betrayed by one of his closest friends, who coveted his belt and his fame. The friend poisoned Grobnar’s drink, and then stole his belt while he was unconscious. He then fled the kingdom, hoping to escape Grobnar’s wrath.
However, he did not get far, as Grobnar woke up and realized what had happened. He pursued his friend with a furious rage, despite his weakened state. He caught up with him at the edge of a cliff, where they fought for the belt. Grobnar managed to wrestle the belt from his friend, but in the process, they both fell off the cliff and plunged to their deaths.
The Belt of the Athlete was lost in the depths of the sea. Grobnar’s legend, however, lived on, inspiring generations of athletes and adventurers to follow his example. He is still remembered as one of the greatest heroes of Durok-tar, and of the world.
