Lore
The Boots of the Cat belonged to a notorious cat burglar known as Felina, who was famed for her agility, stealth, and cunning. She stole the boots from a wizard's tower, where they were part of a collection of rare and magical footwear. She quickly discovered their powers and used them to enhance her skills and abilities.
Felina became a master of infiltration, evasion, and escape,. Using the boots, she was able to slip in and out of the most secure and guarded places, leaving no trace of her presence. One of her most daring and legendary heists was the theft of the Eye of the Past, a gemstone that could reveal glimpses of history. The Eye was kept in a heavily fortified vault in the royal palace, protected by magical wards, traps, and guards. Felina managed to bypass all the obstacles and reach the vault, where she found the Eye in a pedestal surrounded by a ring of fire. She used the boots to leap over the flames and grab the Eye, then used them again to escape the vault and the palace.
The theft of the Eye of the Past caused a great uproar and a massive manhunt for Felina. She evaded capture for a long time, but eventually she was cornered by a group of elite bounty hunters, who had tracked her down using a powerful divination spell. They surrounded her in an alley, ready to take her in. Felina smiled and activated the boots, hoping to pounce over them and flee. However, she did not know that the boots had a limit to their power, and that she had already used up their daily charge. She jumped into the air, but instead of landing on her feet, she fell to the ground, stunned and vulnerable. The bounty hunters seized her and took her to the authorities, along with the Eye and the boots.
Felina was sentenced to life imprisonment in a high-security dungeon, where she could not use her skills or the boots. The boots were confiscated and locked away in a secret location, where they remain to this day. Some say that Felina still dreams of escaping and reclaiming the boots, while others say that she has given up hope and accepted her fate. No one knows for sure, except for Felina herself.
