Their adventures were fraught with danger, and it was during a particularly perilous expedition that the promise was fulfilled. They were deep within the Frostbite Caverns, a labyrinth of ice known for its deadly inhabitants and treacherous terrain. Their path was lit only by the ethereal glow of Otto’s magic and the occasional spark of Erastus’s sorcery.As they navigated through the icy maze, a sudden tremor shook the cavern. A wall of ice collapsed, revealing a hidden chamber. Inside lay an ancient, frozen figure, its hand clutching a beautifully crafted spyglass. The figure was adorned in the regalia of a long-forgotten scout, a protector of the Dale.
Otto, recognizing the significance of the find, also remembered his promise. The sight of the spyglass brought a gleam to Erastus’s eyes, a gleam Otto had seen many times during their quests. It was the look of a man who had found a long-sought treasure.
Otto handed over the spyglass to Erastus, a gesture that was met with a rare smile from the elf. He picked up the spyglass, its silverwood frame polished to a shine and lenses clear as the purest ice. From that day forward, Erastus used the spyglass to aid their adventures, spotting distant threats and guiding them safely through the hazardous landscape.
