Gyro's mobile workstation

This backpack looks like a normal leather backpack, but it contains a marvel of engineering and magic. It has all the tools and materials needed for any artisan to craft their masterpiece, including a small forge, an anvil, and an alchemy table. The backpack has a large number of pockets and compartments that can store items of various sizes and shapes.
The Mobile Workstation is attuned to you and only you can use its features. If anyone else tries to use it, they find it to be a normal backpack with some tools inside.

The backpack can be folded out to become much larger than its original size, creating a spacious workshop that can fit in a 10-foot square. This is done using a combination of origami and extradimensional storage. The workshop contains one set of each type of artisan’s tools and any other items that you have placed inside it. You can fold the workshop back into a backpack as an action.

Enhanced crafting

When you use the Mobile Workstation to craft magic items or potions, the gold cost and crafting time is reduced by half. You can also use the workstation to repair damaged or broken items, as long as you have the appropriate materials.

Lore

Gyro is a rock gnome who grew up in a small town near a dwarven mine with his family. His father taught him the finer details of crafting constructs and gadgets, while his mother showed him how to craft jewelry. Gyro loved to watch the dwarves in their forges crafting weapons and tools alike. Once he was old enough and had enough experience to begin crafting on his own, he traveled to a small school of magic to see if he could find ways to make crafting easier. Along the way, he was interrupted by a merchant artisan who saw Gyro’s work and convinced him to make a name for himself as an artisan instead.

After a while, Gyro was able to make his own way and has been trying to repay the old merchant for his guidance and patronage. He traveled with his party to learn more about the world and about the magic that shapes it. But traveling doesn’t always allow for a stable workplace.
Gyro’s mobile workstation was created after years of traveling and crafting on the road. Gyro had always been fascinated by the idea of being able to take his workshop with him wherever he went, but it wasn’t until he realized it was possible that he began working on it himself. He spent countless hours designing and refining the backpack, adding new features and making it more efficient.
Over time, Gyro continued to refine the design of the backpack until it was perfect. He eventually retired from adventuring and settled down in a small town where he opened up his own workshop. It wasn’t long before word of his amazing backpack began to spread, and soon he was receiving orders from all over the land.
Today, Gyro’s mobile workstation is considered one of the most valuable tools in any artisan’s arsenal. It has helped countless craftsmen and women create masterpieces that would have been impossible without it.
