You unleash a surge of corrupted hemopathy into a creature you can see within range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they take poison damage and are poisoned for the duration. On a successful save, they take half the damage and are not poisoned. While poisoned, the target can repeat the Constitution saving throw at the start of their turn. On a failed save, they gain one level of exhaustion. On a successful save, the spell ends for them.
At higher levels
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the poison damage increases by for each slot level above 5th.
