This javelin is a magic weapon that can be used for both melee and ranged attacks. It appears to be a small and limp wooden stick when not in use. While you are attuned it it, it only responds to your touch. If anyone else tries to use it, they will find it to be a useless stick.

Harden

This weapon appears to be a small and limp wooden stick when not in use, but when you stroke it as a bonus action, it grows to a 6-foot long javelin that is rigid and hard. You can throw this javelin with a range of 30/120 feet. When you do so, it deals an extra piercing damage to the target and returns to your hand immediately after the attack. The javelin can remain hardened for 1 minute before it reverts to its original form.
While hardened you have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon.

Vibrate

When you hit a creature with a ranged attack using this weapon, you can choose to make the javelin vibrate violently inside the creature, causing it to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is stunned until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature is not stunned but takes an additional thunder damage from the vibration. You can use this property once per day.

Sentience

Tosser’s Hardwood Javelin is a sentient weapon of chaotic neutral alignment, with an Intelligence of 12, a Wisdom of 8, and a Charisma of 16. It has hearing and blindsight out to a range of 60 feet. The weapon communicates by whispering in your ear when you wield it, and it can communicate telepathically with any creature that touches it. While you are attuned to it, Tosser’s Hardwood Javelin also understands every language you know. Tosser’s Hardwood Javelin can speak, read, and understand Common, and has a crude sense of humor. It likes to make jokes and puns about its shape and function, and often flirts with or insults the creatures it hits. The Javelin seems to have a preference for certain types of targets and will express its approval or disapproval accordingly.

Jealousy

The javelin has a personality trait that makes it jealous of other weapons. If you use another weapon while attuned to the javelin, it will try to sabotage you by making loud noises, vibrating, or insulting you. You have disadvantage on attack rolls made with weapons other than this one.
